A wild and largely unsettled area nestled in the mountainous region east of The Arid Badlands. Marked by harsh terrain of steep cliffs and winding canyons, the area is home to a dense skag population.

This is a hub for the coliseums. Countless fights go on in the Underdome, and in some cases the games are never ending. The building is a large structure which resembles a cross between a warehouse/ factory and a movie theatre.

An alpine base area controlled by the Crimson Lance. It's hard to find by those who aren't a part of the faction, but it's not impossible to find. Just don't get lost out here.

Indications are that it lies somewhere beyond the Salt Flats. The way through to that area is barred to prevent civilians from getting killed by bandits. It is described as a war zone after Commandant Steele's declaration of martial law following Baron Flynt's demise. This is due to outbreaks of heavy fighting in and around Sanctuary as the Crimson Lance forces impose their will on its citizens, often violently.

Headstone Mine used to be a successful mine controlled by the Dahl corporation. In the course of the mining operation something was discovered and hastily covered up. Most convicts sent to work here went crazy and many were physically mutated as well, growing into huge, muscular parodies of humanity, or stunted to dwarf proportions. Unable to control the convict population any longer, Dahl were forced to withdraw, and the mine that had once been a hive of productivity became a headquarters for the many bandits plaguing the Arid Badlands.

Generally Hospital was the hospital for the town of Jakobs Cove and the surrounding area. It was built by the Jakobs Corporation to provide medical services to their employees. Dr. Ned was working on an antidote here when the zombie plague first started. The zombies here cannot leave, with it being an island.

Lockdown Palace used to be a prison island before the area dried up. Mr. Shank runs the place now, and the bandits here have turned the prison into a sprawling base of operations. Areas include a parking area for Racers, holding cells with picnic tables and stockpiles of beer, and outposts within the complex with vending machines for ammunition and supplies.

A vast junkyard. The inhabitants of Old Haven established New Haven in the wake of increasing bandit incursions on their former home. It has been said that New Haven's continued survival is in part due to the steady supply of refuse being dropped in the area, providing ample materials from which to build.

It is the location of the little town of Liar's Berg.

The area is a wide open space that soon gives way to several narrow paths over sheer drops to mountain slopes far below. Throughout the entire area are flat façades of wood, painted to provide fake enemies and objects.
